User Error and Frustration with Computers: We Waste a Lot of Time!
Speakers: Jonathan Lazar
Topic(s): Accessibility,Human Computer Interaction
Abstract
This talk presents an overview of 5 research studies relating to user error and the broader topic of user frustration. I have coordinated a number of research studies, all examining errors (what errors are made, how training can impact the incidence of error, how the errors can be classified) and frustration (causes of frustration, responses to frustration, how it impacts on mood). These studies include data from over 600 individual users.
